Case Study #1: Malaise Feelings

Title: Malaise Feelings. Patient has not been feeling like self lately.
History: chronic hypertension, hectic schedule, normal diet. Married and has a balanced family life. However just relocated to a new city.
Patient Age: 35 years old
Patient Sex: Female
Case Presentation: Patient presented with chronic fatigue, listlessness and malaise feelings. Blood Pressure was elevated @ 175/100. Cholesterol levels high(LDL). Patient’s feet were examined and there was a lump by the reflex of the heart on left foot, which suggested issues surrounding the arteries, muscles and veins in the heart region. On both feet there was tightness and discomfort in the solar plexus area which is connected to the stomach/abdominal aorta
Diagnosis: Inflammation in sac around the heart (Pericarditis). Angina.
Therapy Suggested: Hawthorne Capsules, Co Q10 Supplement, Colloidal Silver and Vitamin E. periodic CT Scans or MRI recommended for non-symptomatic stomach aorta. Fish oil for lowering cholesterol and garlic pills to control hypertension
Recommendations: Massage and Reflexology Therapy for stress reduction. Daily exercise. Patient was informed to stop smoking and drinking.
Heart healthy diet. Consumption of more vegetables, and grains recommended. Also,adding ginger tea and green tea to the diet.
Patient History: Patient suffered from heart palpitations a few years prior and had a history of hypertension. Smoker and social drinker.
Management and Outcome: After two weeks of massage therapy, reflexology, and yoga classes patient started feeling more relaxed and energized. The supplements were helpful in ameliorating occasional palpitations. Patient’s feet were examined and lump on left foot was less visible and both feet appeared smother and softer in the solar plexus region. Patient felt as if she was slowly reverting to a state of wellness again.
Type Of Outcome: After 3 months, nutrition therapy and therapeutic massage patient level of health went from a 2-8.
