Although cannabis is not an approved by the Food & Drug Administration as an authentic form of natural treatment, there are many holistic healthcare centers who offer the herb as a means of palliative care for those suffering with incurable illnesses such as cancer.

Cannabis dispensaries are centers regulated by local government. They may be retail locations or buildings approved to dispense marijuana for medicinal or recreational purposes. In an authentic location customers are required to have a doctor's written recommendation for the herb.

Since the year 2016, there has been state regulated centers in approximately 23 states. The following states currently have Medical cannabis dispensaries:

New York

New Jersey

Connecticut

California

Colorado

New Mexico

Arizona

Delaware

Illinois

Maine

Oregon

Rhode Island

Washington

Michigan

Nevada

Maine

Cannabis is a herb which has significant healing effects on the central nervous system and the immune system. Even though there has been significant improvement in the health of terminally ill patients due to cannabis, there are side effects which cannot be ignored. For instance:

1). Chronic marijuana users develop a hacking cough.

2). Cannabis creates lung related health issues (infections, chest colds, respiratory issues).

3), Makes the user dizzy and disoriented.

4). Red eyes and dilated pupils

5). Difficulty breathing

6). Dry Mouth

Currently there are five cannabis stocks within the United States which yield an annual revenue of approximately 10 million dollars. They include companies dealing with hydroponics, industrial hemp, packaging, lighting equipment, and nutrients.

Due to the herb's potential to generate astronomical revenue it is easy to understand why many health professionals, patients and non-professionals are eager to promote the legalization of the drug.

It does raise questions of impropriety, suggesting individuals are only partaking in the herb for monetary gain or recreational purposes.

In summation, cannabis should be used in moderation and under the supervision of one's healthcare provider.
