Cell Phones have become an important part of daily living since most of us rely on them to keep in touch with business associates, family and friends.

Over the years there has been speculation suggesting cell phones may cause cancer but there are no conclusive statistics or data confirming this information.

However, the Radio Frequency emitted from cell phone usage may cause discomfort to areas of the body where the cell phone is being used or stored. For example the ears, head, pelvis area and chest.

Mobile phone usage has been linked to infertility, brain tumors, DNA damage, breast cancer and early signs of Alzheimer's.

The Radio Frequency adversely affects blood glucose metabolism. Blood glucose levels increase on the side of the brain where the phone is being used which might alter the health of those diagnosed with diabetes.

The low levels of Radio Frequency Energy which is transmitted seldom causes any major health issues in adults, but children who are still growing may be at risk to develop brain cancer.

In order to prevent any form of tissue damage to regions of the body exposed to cell phone usage it is best to use an ear piece when on mobile phones for long periods of time, also limiting cell phone calls and opting to use land line phones may prove to be more beneficial health wise.

Hands free devices are also recommended for health and safety since they prevent distractions while driving on the roads.

To date there are no pressing health concerns reported as a result of using mobile phones yet they do interfere with brain activity, reaction time and sleep patterns.

It is a good practice not to keep cell phones too close to your body and elect to use speaker phones whenever necessary.

Compulsive cell phone users who are diligent regarding health matters may find it more beneficial to send texts instead of using their cell phones on a constant basis.
